WINDOWS SURPRISES


In version 1.0 of Total Distortion for Windows, there are a number of fatal "surprises" that may abruptly end your game. (In later versions, we hope to have these errors fixed.)

  1. When entering the Matching Game Room (after inserting Card X), be sure to JUMP. Apparently, the Guitar Warriors Guild of Metal Lord Servants ingeniously created a trap that crashes all interfaces if the player attempts to STEP into this sacred area.
  2. Reports have come in from brave Dimensionauts concerning the use of the Strange Alien Object . Apparently, the strange alien artifacts found scattered around the fabled Cable Maze can be constructed, but are rendered useless if the player is using an operating system created by a man named "Gates". No one knows the exact reason, but rumour has it that these paticular aliens believe their artifact is the only TRUE GATE to other spacial areas. This explains their prejudice toward anything that has to do with "Gates".
  3. Sandwiches eaten right outside of the Personal Media Tower cause a total lack of movement. This is believed to be caused by a rare substance called Ramfora that is abundant on the little stepping stone islands adjacent to the Guitar Bridge. Ramfora emits a strange unknown chemical into the air that poisons anything in the vicinity that is edible.
  4. Hell's Garage is NO place to achieve your Fame Goal. Because Satan is very selfish, he despises when mere mortals reach any form of accomplishment. Heed this warning: DO NOT TAUNT THE DEVIL IN HIS OWN GARAGE BY BECOMING FAMOUS!!! You will find that he will bring your adventure to a screeching halt! The best advice is: Be sure to watch your Fame Points while in Hell's Garage. If you are close to achieving your goal, you may want to gain those extra needed points elsewhere.
